If you plan on taking toddlers berry picking, you'll want to know these 7 tips before you go! So helpful! www.MePlus3Today.com

I had never been before, and it seemed like something the kids might enjoy. So around the end of June, at the peek of strawberry season in our area, we ventured out to a local u-pick strawberry patch! It really was quite the adventure! I think it was one of the first times since Chaz died that I took all 3 kids out, by myself, to a place that wasn’t … Continue reading

My Kids LOVE Frozen, Do Yours?

“For the first time in forever…” Violet will sing along to the Frozen Soundtrack. “That’s your song, Mommy,” Charlotte will say.Yes. Yes it is.That is my favorite song on the Frozen soundtrack. I’m not ashamed of admitting it, because I bet most of you probably have one too! So ‘fess up! What is it? 🙂I often catch myself singing around the house. The girls will say “That song’s not on, Mommy!” I’m not sure if they are trying to tell me that I’m not that great of a singer, so I should stop… Or if they think I can only … Continue reading

Good Quote, Bad Quote – Monday Mourning Widow Series

In the weeks immediately following his passing, people would ask “How can I help?” or “What do you need?” But at the time, those questions seemed impossible to answer. There wasn’t a single person that could give me what I needed, because what I needed was my husband … Continue reading

One Year of Loss, but I’m Just Not Ready…

I just wanted to take a few moments to explain where my heart and my head are this week. On Wednesday, August 6, 2014, it will be 1 year since my husband, Chaz, passed away. I’ve seen it referred to as a “deathiversary.” But I do NOT like that word. I’ve just been calling it “the 1-year mark.” Obviously, the past few weeks have been extremely difficult. And as this impending week began, my emotions have been running haywire. As I mentioned in my post The Truth About Young Widowhood, I want to be open and honest about life as … Continue reading
