Act of Kindness Idea: Christmas Gift Wish List with MyRegistry.com

Thank you MyRegistry.com for sponsoring this post! All opinions given are entirely my own.  Every day, I walk through our living room and look at all the toys the kids have. They have more toys than they know what to do with! But they aren’t really old enough to want any more toys either. They just don’t realize how much is actually out there yet. It’s me who wants for them. Around Christmas, it’s me making their gift wish list. It’s me asking for more stuff for them.  But this year, I’m going to do something different. I am going to … Continue reading

3 Letter Recognition Ideas for Toddlers

For your convenience, this letter recognition ideas for toddlers post contains affiliate links and is sponsored by I See Me! Even though all 3 kids are still under the age of 3, I can’t help but think of their futures. I just want to give them a great chance for success. And I personally would consider them successful as long as they are happy with whatever they are doing. I don’t have any background in child development, but I believe early literacy skills will help them as they grow up, so they can follow their passions and be happy. As … Continue reading

The World of Eric Carle

This post contains affiliate links and I will earn commission if you make a purchase after clicking on my links, at no additional cost to you.One of the kids’ favorite books is Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?. And I absolutely love listening to the girls “read” it. In the beginning, Charlotte would read it like, “Brown bear, brown bear, see? Red bird, red bird, see?” And so on. While Violet would say “Red bird lookin’ ah me. Yellow duck lookin’ ah me.” They could go through the entire story like that. To say it was adorable would … Continue reading

My Kids LOVE Frozen, Do Yours?

“For the first time in forever…” Violet will sing along to the Frozen Soundtrack. “That’s your song, Mommy,” Charlotte will say.Yes. Yes it is.That is my favorite song on the Frozen soundtrack. I’m not ashamed of admitting it, because I bet most of you probably have one too! So ‘fess up! What is it? 🙂I often catch myself singing around the house. The girls will say “That song’s not on, Mommy!” I’m not sure if they are trying to tell me that I’m not that great of a singer, so I should stop… Or if they think I can only … Continue reading

Father’s Day Gifts from the Past

Well, Father’s Day is coming up… Hallmark holiday or not, it’s still one of those “firsts” that I have to get through. Not only do I have to endure this holiday dealing with the loss of the father of my children, but I also lost my own father in 2009 when he passed away unexpectedly from dilated cardiomyopathy.  So, I think it goes without saying that it’s NOT my favorite holiday. After losing my dad, Father’s Day had a gloomy feeling to it.  We still tried to remember my dad, but obviously, it just wasn’t the same.  However, when we … Continue reading
